AEW's The Outrunners drop an outrageous claim about The Undertaker
WWE legend The Undertaker and AEW's The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) have been in the pro wrestling business for a long time. The Outrunners currently perform in AEW and ROH.
In 1987, The Deadman worked in World Class Championship Wrestling. Apparently, Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd also worked in the same promotion around the same time.
The duo recently appeared on the Talk is Jericho podcast. During the interview, they claimed that The Phenom looked up to them during their time together at WCCW. According to the AEW stars, the WWE Hall of Famer even asked them to watch one of his matches against Tom Renesto Jr.
Truth claimed he told The Undertaker that it was good that the latter acted like a zombie during the match as the town was ''officially dead!''
"Matter of fact, [The Undertaker] wanted us to watch one of his matches against Tom Renesto Jr., son of Tom Renesto Sr. He came back, and I was absolutely livid. I said, 'Mark,' which I found out later was his name... I said, 'Mark, it's a good thing you're walking around like a zombie because this town is officially dead!' Then Turbo flung a cucumber at his head, and the rest is history," Truth Magnum said. [H/T: Cultaholic]
AEW announces a new alliance in the tag team division
Last week on Collision, FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defeated the Grizzled Young Veteran (James Drake and Zack Gibson) in a tag team match. After the bout, Wheeler and Dax were attacked by their opponents, but The Outrunners made the save.
Later, it was announced that Truth Magnum, Turbo Floyd, Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, and HOOK would team up to take on James Drake, Zack Gibson, The Beast Mortos, RUSH, and Roderick Strong on this week's episode of AEW Collision. When the match was advertised, the promotion dubbed FTR and The Outrunners as ''FTRunners,'' confirming a new alliance in the tag team division.
It will be interesting to see how things unfold this Saturday.
