AEW set to go head-to-head with WWE just before All Out 2024
AEW and WWE are set to compete just before All Out next week. This should give us an idea of how the Triple H and Tony Khan-led companies perform against each other.
There is always a lot of talk about how Tony Khan's company's ratings have either gone up or down, and this coming week should provide a litmus test. Collision, which usually takes place on Saturday, will take place on Friday at 8 PM from the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Incidentally, that is also the exact time SmackDown will be telecast from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It will also be the last SmackDown episode shown on FOX before it moves to the USA network. Rampage will quickly follow after Collision ends on the same day.
All Out is shaping up to be a great pay-per-view, and the Collision episode should provide the fans with much-needed angles right before the big show.
AEW Dynamite ratings took a downturn
There was a lot of hype for AEW Dynamite just days after All In. However, the ratings were down despite the return of former WWE star Jon Moxley.
The show took place in Champaign, Illinois, but the ratings were not that good. Reports emerged that the show managed to pull in 691,000 viewers and scored 0.22 among those aged 18-49.
Those figures were less than those of the last Dynamite episode, which aired from Cardiff. That show drew in 698,000 viewers and had a demographic rating of 0.24. Tony Khan will be hoping that the numbers pick up before All Out, which will take place next week.
The return of Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson’s AEW World Championship match against Jack Perry should be able to compel the fans to tune in.
