Huge update on what would happen if AEW approached WWE ID talents

All Elite Wrestling and WWE are the top two wrestling promotions in the world, and there have been a lot of instances where stars from either company have moved ship.

Now, WWE has come up with something called the WWE ID, where independent wrestlers will have a clear path to make it to the company. Fans have also wondered what would happen if Tony Khan approached those independent talents.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio had an update and said:

"If you're under this deal, it's essentially, if you get an offer from AEW and you're under one of these deals, you do have to tell WWE first, and they have the right to say, 'Okay, well, we want to sign you to a deal and send you to NXT', or they can say, 'Go for it, take the offer, we're not interested.'"

That will be seen as good news because it would mean that the talent will be free to choose what they want to do.
