AEW snubs current WWE Superstar from Dynamite history
A certain top WWE Superstar was seemingly omitted from a recent video package showcasing several key moments in the promotion's history. This was CM Punk being omitted from AEW Dynamite's history.
The Straight Edge Superstar was signed with All Elite Wrestling from 2021 to 2023 and was fired due to his incident with Jack Perry. He has since then signed with WWE and has been on an incredible run in his return to the company after almost 10 years.
Earlier tonight, ahead of Dynamite's 250th episode, a video package showcasing the best moments in the past five years of the show was shown. Several current stars and some stars now signed with WWE, including Cody Rhodes, were showcased. This was a good way to sum up the show's history.
However, not even a single CM Punk clip was shown throughout the video. Last month, AEW celebrated the first anniversary of Collision and also released a video package of its best moments. Punk was shown briefly at the start of the video, standing alongside FTR, whom he had often teamed up with on the show before his release.
With a three-year stint with the company, and a world title reign in his resume, CM Punk has definitely made his mark in AEW, and to this day, people still chant his name during their shows.
