AEW star Britt Baker makes a big revelation: "I knew after that, 'I'm done'"
AEW star Britt Baker recently made a startling revelation about her injury problems and admitted that she felt she was done after a particular match. This is no doubt going to make her fans anxious.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has had a tough 2024 as she has been struggling with a lot of injuries and controversies. Baker was recently a guest on DDP’s Gauntlet, where she opened up about her struggles and how she knew she had to take a step back and go to rehab.
Baker was referring to the match she had with Kris Statlander in 2023 for the AEW TBS Title which she lost. It was in that bout, she knew her condition was bad. She said:
“I don't really remember a specific match where I was like, 'This hurts.' It was just over time. 'This is getting harder. This is getting harder.' The last match I did was against Statlander at Penn State. I knew then. I got through the match, she's fantastic, she's one of my favorite competitors. I knew after that, 'I'm done'. I need to take a step back and rehab some stuff.' I've had so many [injuries]. I broke my leg, I broke my wrist, I broke my nose. My back. In a two year span. Now, I have like a small tear in my hip and labrum, I know that's from the back and favoring it different." [H/T: Fightful]
