AEW star Dustin Rhodes gives a big update on in-ring futureĀ
Dustin Rhodes is an original member of AEW. He has been with the promotion since Tony Khan and the All Elite EVPs launched it five years ago.
It was recently reported that The Natural's contract with AEW expired in late September or early October 2024 and he is negotiating with the company. Amidst this, he has made it pretty clear that he's not retiring anytime soon.
In a recent tweet on X (fka Twitter), Dustin Rhodes admitted that his prime days are past him but he still has a lot of left in his tank. Therefore, he wants to continue his in-ring journey for a few more years and asked his fans to continue to support him.
"Be brave!!! Some say I'm old, I say I'm timeless. What I absolutely will not do, is go out and embarrass myself by hanging on too long like several I know who have done that in the past. I need you fans behind me until the very end. I like to be very upfront and honest and right now, your energy feeds me. I truly believe age is just a number and we can do anything we put our minds to."
Rhodes also disclosed his desire to hold the World Championship and will keep pushing to pursue his dreams:
"I still have a dream of becoming World Champion and always will. I will never stop pushing and dreaming!!! Yes I have 2 @ringofhonor titles! Do I deserve them, no! I have earned them because I am a fighter, a giver, a professional and a student and lover of our game. I need you now more than ever. I love you! I WILL #KeepSteppin because I am very blessed."

"What are you talking about? My body of work is exceptional! And, I ain't done yet. I want it all and will bust my a** as long as my health will allow me to. "
Dustin Rhodes' debut match in AEW was against his brother Cody Rhodes at the inaugural Double or Nothing in 2019, which he lost.
