AEW star Kenny Omega's major appearance officially announced

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is set to make a major appearance. But it will not be for All Elite Wrestling.

Omega has been absent from in-ring action since last year. His last match in AEW was on the December 5, 2023, edition of AEW Collision, where he defeated Ethan Page in a singles match. Soon after, he went on a hiatus after being diagnosed with a life-threatening condition called diverticulitis.

Since then, The Cleaner has appeared only once on AEW television, on Dynamite in May. He addressed the wrestling universe and spoke about his illness to the fans. He promised them that he would return to the ring no matter how long it took him to recover. He was then attacked by The Elite.

There is no news on when he will return to the ring, but he is set to make a major appearance outside AEW next week. NJPW's official X (fka Twitter) account revealed he will be a special guest at the Power Struggle event at EDION Arena in Osaka on November 4.

The Elite had a special message for Kenny Omega on Dynamite

Kenny Omega celebrated his 41st birthday earlier this month, on October 16. On that occasion, his former teammates, The Young Bucks, and members of the new Elite, Kazuchika Okada and Jack Perry, sent him a special message on Dynamite.

In a backstage segment during the AEW's flagship show, The Elite wished him a happy birthday and even brought a cake. Later, the fans saw Jungle Boy throw some animal organs on top of the cake in an attempt to mock Omega for having an organ disease.

The Best Bout Machine was one of the key members of The Elite, but he was expelled from the group in March 2024.
