AEW star Mercedes Mone gives her take on Kendrick Lamar and Drake's feud
Mercedes Mone has a take on the current Kendrick Lamar/Drake beef. The two are among the finest musicians but have had a rocky relationship since 2013. While the two collaborated a handful of times that year, the situation heated up in 2024 when Kendrick dissed Drake on the track 'Like That'.
This year, the two musicians have dissed each other with Tupac's Estate even threatening to sue Drake if he didn't remove a particular song from his social. AEW wrestler and TBS Champion Mercedes Mone revealed her thoughts about the ongoing beef while on the Infinity Sports Network.
"I think they actually stole from wrestling, to how to do these competitions with each other. That's where anybody gets their inspiration from. It comes from wrestling, having a program or putting up a promo, I think they definitely took from us, but the only thing I can compare it was maybe me and Willow for a little bit. But of course, I am the Kendrick and Willow's the Drake," she said.
Mercedes Mone and Willow Nightingale have had a feud since the former made her AEW debut. The CEO previously suffered an ankle injury in her match against Willow in NJPW at NJPW Resurgence 2023 before her AEW debut, which put her out of action for months.
