AEW star Mercedes Mone makes a big confession about Charlotte Flair

Current AEW TBS champion, Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) praised one quality of her former WWE rival, Charlotte Flair. Mone also recalled her long matches in the Stamford-based promotion.

Although Mercedes Mone is currently one of the top stars in AEW, she gained prominence during her time in WWE as "Sasha Banks" for a decade. She also achieved countless accolades during her time there. Mercedes had a career-defining feud with Charlotte Flair back in 2016, which featured multiple great matches.

In the recent edition of her Mone Mag newsletter, The CEO recalled her Iron Woman match with Charlotte from the WWE Roadblock 2016 PLE. Mone revealed that the recent nearly 60-minute classic MJF vs. Will Ospreay match had her thinking about her long matches:

"Ospreay and MJF's incredible 60-minute match got me thinking about Iron Man matches and my Iron Woman match with Charlotte Flair. It went about 42 minutes, and I know we ended up going over time. I also went 53 minutes in the first ever women's Royal Rumble. How did I feel physically during and after those matches?"

Mercedes also confessed that Charlotte had the stamina to compete in an Iron Woman match:

"Every time I was done, the only thing I wanted to do was to do more ... I knew the match with Charlotte was going to be so special. In addition to the storytelling and wrestling, you need someone with stamina – or at least I do — and Charlotte has it and then some." [H/T: WrestlingINC]

Mercedes Mone will defend her TBS title at 'AEW All In'

At the recent Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Dr. Britt Baker made her return and confronted the TBS champion, Mercedes Mone. The animosity between the two continued to build for weeks. Meanwhile, the title match between Mone and Baker has been made official for 'All In 2024' at Wembley.

Henceforth, it remains to be seen who will walk out of Wembley Stadium as the TBS champion after the match between The DMD and The CEO.
