AEW star MJF makes major announcement - "Unfiltered. Unedited"
It's been an up-and-down year for MJF, but The Wolf of Wrestling has just confirmed that he's officially back in action ahead of Worlds End 2024. The former AEW World Champion even teased an "unfiltered" segment for the upcoming episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman was on the shelf for the first half of this year as he recovered from a torn labrum. His screentime since returning has been sporadic due to his commitments in Hollywood, where he recently finished filming a major role in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2.
MJF returned to the ring at Full Gear, where he defeated Roderick Strong. However, his true nemesis, Adam Cole, is still out for revenge. With the two now set to square off at Worlds End on December 28, Friedman has advertised a major segment on next week's Dynamite: Holiday Bash:
"Not via satellite in a dimly lit mansion. But live. Unfiltered. Unedited. #ThankMeLater," Max wrote on X/Twitter.
MJF has maintained his status amid absence from AEW
Despite spending several months of 2024 on the shelf, Maxwell Jacob Friedman snagged the #2 spot in ESPN's 30 Under 30 list. Even while absent due to his film commitments, he's remained involved via satellite promos on AEW television.
Max returned last week to interfere in the match between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly, who were battling to determine The Wolf of Wrestling's challenger for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Friedman tried to sabotage Cole, but The Panama City Playboy managed to snag the victory.
It seems that MJF and Adam Cole will finally wrap up their storyline at AEW Worlds End 2024, one year after Max lost his World Championship and was betrayed by his "best friend." Whether Cole will be able to vanquish Friedman once and for all remains to be seen.
