AEW star MVP makes a massive claim - "With all due respect to The Rock"
MVP recently referenced The Rock as he made a massive claim. This was regarding his first run in WWE.
MVP first made a name for himself in WWE between 2005 to 2010. During this time, he was involved in many storylines. One of his most memorable feuds was against Matt Hardy. The two men feuded over the United States Championship for several weeks and tried to outdo each other each week.
They competed against each other in a hoop shooting contest and a pizza-eating contest. They even had a boxing match, but Montel Vontavious Porter asked Evander Holyfield to substitute in for him. As a result, when it came time for their beer-drinking contest, Matt Hardy asked Stone Cold Steve Austin to sub in for him.
The Rattlesnake came down to the ring, ran the ropes, did a few pushups, and hit the then-United States Champion with a stunner. The AEW star recalled this segment on social media and called it the greatest stunner sell of all time, even better than The Rock's, who is known for his insane selling of the stunner.
"Greatest stunner sell of ALL time with all due respect to @TheRock!!!"

MVP opens up about his WWE exit
MVP returned to WWE in 2020 and was put into a faction with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander called The Hurt Business. The group dominated for over a year before they disbanded.
Following The Hurt Business' split, Montel Vontavious Porter's role on TV decreased quite a bit. He was Omos' manager for a few months, but the move failed, and he found himself off TV until his eventual exit from the company.
During a recent interview with Drop the Heat, the former WWE star said that he didn't feel like re-signing with the Stamford-based promotion, indicating that the new management had a role in his decision-making process.
“This time, I didn’t want to re-sign and I let it be known that I wasn’t going to re-sign because the new management in place — anytime, I don’t care where you work, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not for other people. New people come in, old people go. So I just felt that it was definitely time to go because the new management just wasn’t for me and I ain’t for him [laughs]," he said. [H/T Fightful]
MVP is currently part of the AEW roster, where he has reunited with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
