AEW star who was recently "suspended" makes a massive claim

AEW is dealing with another controversy this week. Fans are buzzing today over an apparent suspension to a top star, and the multi-time champion has just made a mighty bold claim after working a non-AEW show.

The inaugural Dynasty Zero Hour pre-show saw Bullet Club Gold defeat The Acclaimed to unify the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship. Before the match, Max Caster performed one of his signature raps and used some adult language to take shots at Jay White.

Caster then went viral on Thursday when he claimed he'd been suspended after a fan asked if he was still with the company. All Elite Wrestling has not confirmed if Caster is legitimately suspended, but fans have had interesting reactions.

Furthermore, it's especially notable how Caster has started appearing for indie promotions. He took to X (formerly Twitter) today to respond to a question on whether the standards of indie wrestling have improved in the last 15 years.

"I'm the best wrestler on the indies by far... so yeah I think I raise the standard," Max Caster wrote.

Officials also have not announced an update on Platinum Max's status. However, The Grizzled Young Veterans are set to debut on Collision this Saturday, and it was indicated that they will be facing The Acclaimed. It was not clear if the team would be represented by just Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn.

Max Caster returns to the indies following AEW suspension comments

Max Caster's All Elite Wrestling status is currently up in the air after the two-time champion claimed he'd been suspended this week.

The Acclaimed's leader made his big return to the indies on Thursday night at the WrestleOpen event in Worcester, MA, which streamed live on IWTV. Caster reunited The Shook Crew with Bobby Orlando, and they defeated The Batiri.

Platinum Max took to X after the show and indicated that he and Orlando are chasing the IWTV Tag Team Championship, currently held by The Miracle Generation.

"Shook Crew is one step closer to the IWTV Tag Titles!," Max Caster wrote.

Caster will now return to AIW for their Shook Ones event on Saturday, June 22 in Akron, Ohio. The 34-year-old responded to the announcement from longtime promotion Absolute Intense Wrestling and declared himself to be "The Best Wrestler Alive."

There's no official word yet on when Caster will return to the ring for AEW. However, his AIW indie booking indicates he will be suspended for around two months, at least, if the suspension is indeed legitimate.
