AEW star reforms The Rock's iconic team amid current hiatus; but with a twist
An AEW star has reformed The Rock’s iconic team amid his current hiatus. He did it but it came with a twist which the fans will no doubt find funny.
The star in question is none other than Danhausen. He has not been seen in the company for a while and has been busy performing on the independent scene. Despite not appearing in AEW, he seems to be successful as he just became a tag team champion.
The Enigma teamed up with PCO (Perfect Creation One) to win the tag team titles at Insane Wrestling Revolution. After the result, he took to X/Twitter to send out a message and this is where he acknowledged the legendary team of The Rock and Mick Foley, who were known as the Rock 'n' Sock connection.
He wrote:
“The Rock n Shock connection lives again as champions.”
Former WWE star reveals canceled plan for AEW star Danhausen
Former WWE star Matt Camp was a host of RAW Talk which was a fairly popular show. Not only that, he also hosted shows like Talking Smack and The Bump.
He recently revealed how he had planned a show with AEW star Danhausen and some other wrestling personalities where they would rate wrestling gear. However, sadly for all of them, the show got canceled.
He was speaking on his Wrestling Matt podcast when he said:
"I thought he could bring a lot to the table. And I had this pitch to do a fashion show, it never went anywhere because we could not get him, but I wanted to do a fashion show with Danhausen, Kayla [Braxton], Dalton Castle, and RJ City as the judges judging like wrestling gears. It might have been a one-off. I don't what it would have been."
Since then, Danhausen has moved to AEW and he had been doing well since the time he went on a hiatus. It will be interesting to see what will happen once he comes back to the Jacksonville-based promotion.
