AEW star releases statement on last minute absence from Dynamite: Title Tuesday

An AEW star has released a statement regarding her last-minute absence from Dynamite: Title Tuesday. This was a huge disappointment for the fans who were eager to watch the star perform.

Tony Khan broke the news an hour before the show about Britt Baker not being medically cleared to compete against Willow Nightingale and that she was replaced by Saraya, Nyla Rose, and Jamie Hayter. The eventual winner getting a shot at Mariah May's AEW Women's World Championship. Now Baker has come out to dispel any myths about her absence.

She took to X (fka Twitter) and posted a video about how she got strep throat and was stuck in Orlando because of Hurricane Milton. She urged folks affected by the calamity to stock up and not make the same mistake she made. Speaking in a rather subdued voice, she said:

“Hey guys, its Dr Britt Baker DMD and I just wanted to check in and thank everybody so much for all your get well soon messages. Um I dont want you to worry because I am ok. I still have a strep throat but I sound way worse than I actually feel. I feel so much better now. Two days ago, I was dying but now we are good. I went into urgent care, got tested, had strep, took antibiotics or got an I.V., a shot. I am good, good. I am on the mend. But, future reference. If you are in an area that can be affected by a hurricane, stock the f*ck up. I messed up. I didnt think I was going to be here. I was supposed to be at Dynamite in Washington. So, I was like I am flying. No. Change of plans. I got strep throat. I was stuck in Orlando and there were no supplies by the time I realised that. There was no gas, no water, nothing. Like all the essentials gone of all the shelves. So, stock up in advance, dont be a dumba** like me and thank you again to everybody who checked in. And all the weirdos with your f*cking conspiracy theories, like f*ck off. You’re weird, you’re weird.”

Britt Baker breaks silence about her AEW behavior

Britt Baker has been accused of having issues with certain stars backstage. Reports came out last month about how she was upset with Mercedes Mone receiving special treatment.

The former Women's World Champion has now set the record straight and called out the reports and said that she would never do anything that would sabotage the AEW women’s division. She was speaking to TV Insider when she said:

"There are so many things. It feels sometimes on a weekly basis where I’m accused of something I said or did or didn’t do. It’s heartbreaking because, at the end of the day, I love pro wrestling and AEW’s women’s division. I’ve never ever in my life nor would I ever do anything to sabotage it."

It is great to see her come out and set the record straight against the allegations.
