AEW star reveals John Cena spoke to him about Tony Khan - "Just ask your boss what he wants"
An AEW star recently revealed that John Cena spoke to him about Tony Khan. He also mentioned what the WWE veteran said to him.
QT Marshall was part of the AEW roster for a couple of years. Initially, he was a part of Cody Rhodes' faction The Nightmare Family. The star also teamed with Dustin Rhodes before eventually turning on him. After spending a couple of years in Tony Khan's company, QT left the promotion.
However, his departure was short-lived as QT Marshall returned to the All Elite promotion earlier this year. Not only is he now the Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination, but he is also an on-screen performer.
Recently, Marshall made an appearance on Konnan's Keepin' It 100 podcast where he narrated how John Cena visited his school and was talking to Cody Rhodes in the office. QT then mentioned that he was a VP but also wanted to wrestle. When he asked Cena about it, the WWE Superstar told him to ask Tony Khan what he wanted from him and just do that.
"John Cena was at the school because of Cody and he was talking to the kids and we went in the office and he was talking to Cody about some stuff and he asked me like, 'hey, I know you work for the other company but like is there anything I could, you know, answer for you?' and I was like, 'yeah, I'm just a little like I'm a VP but also I want to wrestle. I want it and' and he just said 'just ask your boss what he wants and if you give him what he wants, there's nothing you could worry about because you're doing what he asked you to do and if it's something that you genuinely feel strongly about that you don't want to do it or you have another idea, then do it. Just know that you're on the hook, right? And if it doesn't work, you're on the hook'." [From 07:18 to 07:53]
