AEW star Ricky Starks shares a surprising post after rumors of his arrest emerge
Ricky Starks has seemingly reacted to recent reports with an interesting post. This followed rumors of him having an arrest case last year, which reportedly caused problems for him within AEW.
Earlier today on Reddit, some users posted about the rumors of The Absolute star getting arrested last year after he got into a drunken fight in Calgary after winning the Owen Hart Cup. They also talked about how Starks has been turning down pitches from the company for his booking.
A recent report from Fightful Select debunked all this, saying that no one from the promotion has heard anything about the incident. Regarding the creative issues, on the other hand, it is noted that Ricky Starks has only turned down one pitch regarding a breakup between him and Big Bill.
Starks also took to Instagram to post a photo of him beside a police car along with the song Sound of da Police by KRS-One. This could seemingly be in response to the rumors and speculations.
What was the scrapped creative pitch regarding Ricky Starks and Big Bill?
Almost a month ago, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that some creative plans for Ricky Starks and Big Bill were scrapped. The plan was supposed to feature the former WWE Superstar turning on Starks and turning him into a babyface. He was then bound to go for a singles run.
Fightful Select's report on the Owen Hart Cup winner mentioned how Starks turned this down because he felt it would not benefit Big Bill's career. Ricky was supposed to come out on top in their supposed feud, and he would rather they had a friendly split.
Now, it remains to be seen why Ricky Starks is still on the shelf despite being medically cleared to compete. With Forbidden Door happening this weekend and seemingly no plans for him to appear, we'll have to stay tuned to the fallout of the pay-per-view and whether he makes an appearance then.
