AEW star Ricochet makes a shocking appearance after over 7 years; future plans teased

AEW star Ricochet recently made his blockbuster return to a major promotion after over seven years. He made his plans clear upon his arrival.

Ricochet made his AEW debut at the 2024 All In pay-per-view during the Casino Gauntlet match. Since then, he has had multiple matches on TV. The Human Highlight Reel even competed for the International Title at WrestleDream. Today, he made his blockbuster return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, which has a working relationship with All Elite Wrestling.

The Future of Flight appeared in NJPW for the first time since October 2017 at Power Struggle. He showed up after the main event, where Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Shingo Takagi to retain his IWGP Heavyweight Title. The former Speed Champion attacked Sabre Jr. and challenged him to a title match at Wrestle Dynasty 2025.

The IWGP Heavyweight Title match between The Future of Flight and Zack Sabre Jr. will take place on January 5, 2025, at Tokyo Dome. Meanwhile, the former WWE star is set for a tag team bout against the team of Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. Ricochet will have a mystery opponent in his corner on Dynamite.

It remains to be seen who will be revealed as the high-flyer's partner on the Wednesday night program.
