AEW star shares his 'scouting report' on Adam Copeland (Exclusive)

Several months have passed since Adam Copeland's (fka Edge) arrival in AEW, and Brian Cage believes The Rated R Superstar has been "next level."

Adam joined AEW in October last year and was involved in a pretty engaging storyline with long-time friend Christian Cage. At the end of their feud, Copeland won the TNT Championship and has already defended it in some solid matches.

Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter interviewed Brian Cage recently and asked him about Adam Copeland's run thus far in AEW. Apter asked Cage for a scouting report on Adam, including the pros and cons of having the WWE Hall of Famer in All Elite Wrestling.

Cage clarified that Copeland, being a member of the AEW roster, came with no negatives whatsoever. The Mogul Embassy member assessed Copeland's AEW stint and felt, both from a backstage and in-ring perspective, that the 50-year-old looked terrific.

Brian Cage also felt Adam Copeland was enjoying performing in AEW with many talents he's never worked with before:

"Looking better than ever. I feel there isn't a negative. I don't think there are any negatives! I mean, behind the curtain and inside the ropes, I think he has been next level. I think he has done everything amazingly. You can just see it on his face, too, in the recent promo he just did. Like, his overall happiness and appeal being in AEW and being able to do that he's got to do there and get to work with a lot of us." [From 3:28 onwards]

Brain Cage is looking forward to a possible singles match with Adam Copeland

As noted earlier, Adam Copeland being in All Elite Wrestling has opened the door to multiple first-time-ever matches, some of which Tony Khan has already booked.

While they've not had a one-on-one match yet, Brian Cage and Adam Copeland were on opposite ends during an Eight-Man Tag Team Match on the AEW Dynamite Homecoming episode on January 10th, 2024.

The Machine enjoyed working with Copeland and, like several stars in the AEW locker room, would be all in to share the squared circle again with the TNT Champion.

"I got to work with him in that 8-man tag, and it was a joy, and I would love for a one-on-one opportunity with him," Cage added. [From 3:54 onwards]

Adam apparently doesn't have much time left in the ring, but if his recent matches and promos are any indication, The Rated-R Superstar is striving for the perfect end to an illustrious career.
