AEW star shares unfortunate update amidst TV absence
A top AEW star shared a new update after getting injured and being absent for almost five months. The star being discussed is Eddie Kingston. While there were speculations regarding his return, the star is seemingly out for longer.
The Mad King has been one of the top stars of AEW. His promo and unique wrestling made him a stand-out star for several years. He was also the Triple Crown Champion earlier this year, holding the NJPW Strong Title, ROH World Championship, and Continental Championship.
Before getting injured, Eddie lost the latter two championships to Mark Briscoe and Kazuchika Okada, respectively. During his match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence in May, he dropped the Strong Openweight Championship and injured his leg. Kingston recently gave a huge update on his health and claimed he can walk and lift weights.
Recently, the 42-year-old star gave another unfortunate update about his recovery. He wears a brace, meaning his return is still far away.
AEW star Eddie Kingston claims he hasn't talked to Jon Moxley for a long time
As noted, the former Continental Champion has been absent since May 2024. The Lunatic Fringe and the latter have worked as teammates and rivals in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
While speaking with the DAVINci Reports, Eddie Kingston claimed that he had not had a proper conversation with Jon Moxley for the last three to four months.
"I don't know what's going on with [Jon Moxley]. I haven't talked to him in three or four months. I don't know what's going on with him with this whole Darby (Allin) thing. I knew something was up because we text each other at least once or twice a week, just funny stuff, nothing about wrestling," he said.
It will be interesting to see when the ROH World Champion returns to the squared circle.
