AEW star stops a real-life fight on a plane
An AEW star recently stopped a real-life fight that broke out on a plane. The star who did this was EJ Nduka. The Judge made his debut in Tony Khan's company on an episode of AEW Dark in January 2023. It was reported in June 2023 that he had signed with All Elite Wrestling.
Before becoming All Elite, Nduka worked for Major League Wrestling (MLW). The 35-year-old is also a former WWE Superstar. He worked under the ring name Ezra Judge for the Stamford-based promotion between 2019 and 2021.
Nduka took to his X (Twitter) account on August 10, 2024, and disclosed that he recently broke up a fight on a plane.
"I just broke up a fight on the plane. [The] flight attendant later came up to me and thanked me. She said, 'Thank you for calmly descaling that situation because I couldn’t have done anything. You literally could have grabbed them both by their hands and thrown them,''' he wrote.
In a follow-up post, Nduka described that he stepped up because he didn't want to get stuck with a ''drunk guy and a stubborn dude!''
"@AmericanAir, your welcome, because Lord knows I ended that fight quit because I wasn’t getting stuck on that flight with a drunk guy and stubborn dude. Your boy is hungry," he added.
Absent AEW star recently reacted to his status in Tony Khan's company
Despite joining the Jacksonville-based promotion last year, EJ Nduka has made sporadic appearances in Dark matches on AEW TV. Nduka's last in-ring appearance for Tony Khan's company was during the July 27, 2024, episode of Collision, when he defeated Jon Cruz in a Dark match.
Earlier this year, the 35-year-old took to his X (Twitter) account to promote the June 1, 2024, episode of Saturday Night Collision. A curious fan questioned Nduka's absence, asking if the latter was injured. The talented wrestler responded to the question and clarified that he was not injured and was waiting for his time to come.
It will be interesting to see if EJ Nduka makes an appearance on AEW TV in the coming weeks.
