AEW star suddenly pulled from upcoming show; devastating injury revealed
An AEW star has unfortunately suffered an injury and has been pulled from an upcoming ASE Wrestling show. The star is none other than Kiera Hogan.
The 29-year-old joined All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and has been mainly featured on Ring of Honor. She defeated Ashley D' Amboise on the May 9th edition of ROH. However, she was scheduled to wrestle for an upcoming ASE Wrestling show on June 22nd, but in an unfortunate update, the promotion confirmed on social media that Hogan will no longer be appearing at the show due to a shoulder injury.
On their X (formerly Twitter) account, ASE Wrestling made the following announcement regarding Kiera Hogan:
"ASÉ 4 ANNOUNCEMENT Today we have unfortunate news. Kiera Hogan of “Fire N’ Flava” has received a shoulder injury and will sadly not be be cleared to compete at ASÉ 4 in the original advertised tag team match of the King Bees vs Fire N’ Flava. We will update you will a new match up ASAP. Well wishes to @HoganKnowsBest3 on a speedy recovery! We love you!"
Nick Wayne could get pulled from the upcoming AAA show due to AEW commitments
Nick Wayne is a part of The Patriarchy faction alongside Killswitch, Christian Cage, and Shayna Wayne. All Elite Wrestling announced a special Father's Day segment with Christian Cage and The Patriarchy at the June 15th episode of Collision. However, on the same night, Nick Waye is booked for AAA TripleMania XXXII: Tijuana in Mexico.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Nick Wayne might get pulled from the event in Mexico as AEW would want him to be present on Collision.
“The Christian thing one would think Nick Wayne would be there, I presume he will be there. But Nick Wayne is also booked for TripleMania in Tijuana at the same time. I mean it’s not unusual for AEW talent to be booked on a Saturday night somewhere and be pulled. I’ve asked ‘which show is he gonna be on?’ And I have not heard. But one would presume the first priority is always the AEW show so. It’s not like Nick Wayne was this giant draw for TripleMania, he was just gonna be in a match, basically just be in a good match that’s what he was there for. There is someone else they could find that could be in that role.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
The 18-year-old star last competed on AEW TV last month, where he was defeated by the current World Champion Swerve Strickland. We will have to wait and see if he will be on Collision this Saturday.
