AEW star supports Drew Gulak's shocking stunt at wrestling event, immediately deletes controversial tweet

AEW fans are buzzing this morning after a controversial star seemingly supported a shocking stunt pulled by former WWE Superstar Drew Gulak at an indie event. The backlash was immediate, and the post was deleted, but a screenshot is making the rounds, along with details behind the matter.

The University City Stretcher left WWE this past May, just weeks after Ronda Rousey accused him of grabbing the drawstring of her pants while backstage in 2022. Gulak apologized that night and later said this was an accident. WWE investigated the accusation while Gulak was pulled from TV, and then his contract was not renewed.

Gulak continues to work the indies, mainly for Beyond Wrestling. He was defeated by Masha Slamovich at Sunday's event in Providence, RI. After the match, Gulak took the mic and praised the three-time TNA Knockout World Tag Team Champion, but then asked if she ever felt uncomfortable or in danger while around him. Masha answered no both times, and Gulak responded by saying she should have felt in danger and uncomfortable. He then kicked her and laid her out until Megan Bayne made the save.

Gulak's angle with Slamovich seemed to go over well with the live crowd, but fans on social media have accused the 20-year industry veteran of playing up the Rousey controversy. Max Caster is no stranger to controversy, and the AEW star found himself wrapped up in the Gulak debacle by re-posting a fan tweet and apparently offering his support. Fans immediately flooded Caster with backlash, and the tweet was quickly deleted. A screenshot can be seen below:

"Love this!!! [clapping hands emoji]," Max Caster wrote.

Platinum Max has also worked Beyond Wrestling in the past and considers it one of his home promotions. The Acclaimed are currently chasing the AEW World Tag Team Championship held by The Young Bucks. They defeated MxM Collection at WrestleDream.
