AEW star trolls Ricochet with hilarious throwback image
Ricochet was trolled heavily by an AEW star after he posted a throwback image of the former WWE Superstar. This will no doubt amuse the fans and leave some in splits.
The high flyer has been crossing paths with Swerve Strickland over the last few weeks and things got heated on Dynamite with the two of them having an awkward encounter backstage. The segment drew a lot of criticism from the fans.
Swerve Strickland took it upon himself to double down on his rival and posted a hilarious throwback image of the now 36-year-old.
“Never change,” he wrote.
The throwback image was from a time when Ricochet was starting on the independent scene and funnily enough had a full head of hair. He now sports a bald look and that is possibly what Strickland was pointing to when making fun of his rival.
Dave Meltzer reacts to embarrassing Ricochet segment on AEW Dynamite
AEW Dynamite saw one of the most embarrassing segments of the show and at the heart of it was the 36-year-old. He interrupted the Hurt Syndicate and more importantly, Swerve Strickland.
Dave Meltzer who is a keen observer of AEW has now come out and blasted the AEW star for agreeing to do the segment. He was speaking on a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio when he said:
"I have no idea why he would ever want to do that segment, the Ricochet segment with The Hurt Business [Syndicate]. I have no idea why he would ever want to do that, ever, for any reason. This was like the worst week possible to do it because it's like ok those guys, Will Ospreay and Ricochet are gonna go out there, this guy comes off like the biggest geek in the world. I mean just horrible, horrible portrayal, it's like you are basically telling everyone that this guy is a prelim nobody, right? Not worthy of anyone caring about him, no matter how good a job he may have done in that trios match on the pay-per-view, all that. It's like he is just low-level."
It will be interesting to see how the former WWE star will react to this and how the fans will take it.
