AEW star wants to join the House of Black
An AEW star has seemingly revealed his desire to join the formidable House of Black stable. Pointing out a loophole in one of the promotion's newly-introduced match stipulations, the star in question may have opened the door to joining the World Trios Champions.
Danhausen is beloved by many for his comical wit and commitment to his character. After spending several years on the independent circuit, the Very Nice, Very Evil sensation joined AEW in 2022.
Per the newly-introduced House Rules match type, any team that challenges The House of Black for their titles is allowed to add one clause to their bout. While most fans see this as a way to make their matches more exciting and unpredictable, Danhausen saw this as a way to join the group.
"What if Danhausen chooses his open house rule to be Danhausen joins House of Black?" he tweeted.
It is highly unlikely that Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King envisioned this possibility when laying out the rules for their open challenges. Nonetheless, it does not seem to be contravening any regulations meaning Danhausen could join the brooding trio in the near future.
Former WWE stars to make their AEW Dynamite debuts this week
This Wednesday on AEW Dynamite, The House of Black will defend their World Trios Championships against the team of Blake Christian, Metalik, and AR Fox.
This will mark the Dynamite debuts of Christian and Metalik, who have competed on Dark in the past. Both men are former WWE Superstars, with Christian having made sporadic appearances on NXT and 205 Live and Metalik being best known for his time in The Lucha House Party.
Their partner, AR Fox, is no stranger to the AEW audience. He has previously teamed up with Top Flight in trios competition.
All three men have showcased their high-flying in-ring style on ROH Television, so it will be intriguing to see whether they alter their tactics when squaring off with The House of Black.
