AEW stars' controversial actions sparks huge showdown

An AEW star's recent controversial action has caused a stir and it is now set for a huge showdown. The match is bound to be an enticing affair.

The star in question is none other than Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita is one of the most feared stars in the company and is also a part of the Don Callis Family. Takeshita recently showed up at Maple Lead Pro Wrestling where he attacked Josh Alexander after defeating him. With Don Callis by his side, there is always room for some controversy.

The star recently cut a promo which the New Japan Pro-Wrestling X/Twitter page posted where he called out anyone to challenge him at the upcoming shows in the United States. As a result of that, it has been revealed that his new challenger is ready and it is TJP.

The NJPW Twitter page posted:

"OFFICIAL. After actions from the Don Callis Family have sent shockwaves through the United Empire, @megaTJP will challenge @AEW International Champion @takesoup FRIDAY at Fighting Spirit Unleashed!"

Konosuke Takeshita says he will face Kazuchika Okada in AEW

Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada both hail from Japan and are title holders in AEW. However, the stars have not yet taken on each other in a fight in the promotion.

The International Champion has said that he believes he will take on Okada soon and that it is destiny. He was giving an interview with Tokyo Sports when he said that when the time was right, the two stalwarts would come face-to-face.

“I think it's destiny. Even before I came to the US, people had been saying that Takeshita vs Okada was a dream match. While we've walked completely different paths, we're now in the same organization [AEW]. When the time is right, Okada vs Takeshita will happen, and I'd like to make it a match that will attract more attention than it does now and reach wrestling fans around the world.”

It remains to be seen when such a match will take place in the promotion and whether the youngster will be able to defeat a veteran like Okada.
