AEW veteran gets into an argument with fan over Big E's severe injury on WWE SmackDown
AEW color analyst and retired wrestler Taz got into a heated exchange with a fan on Twitter over the neck injury Big E sustained earlier on WWE Smackdown.
The former WWE Champion suffered a broken neck after falling flat on his head after a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland.
The Human Suplex Machine took to Twitter to respond to a fan questioning him about why he didn't call out Hangman Adam Page when he dropped Ricky Starks on his head and the Kingston-Jericho spot at Revolution.
This is what he had to say to the fan:
Another fan responded to his tweet saying that it should be about the bumps that wrestlers are suffering, especially when a move is executed incorrectly and not just about taking shots at another company, to which Taz once again replied:
Taz himself has suffered from his fair share of neck issues and had to retire because of them.
Big E provided an injury update
Big E provided an update on his health after SmackDown via Twitter and issued a thank you to not to all the concerned ones. He was seen wearing a neck brace from a hospital bed.
The former WWE Champion had to be taken out on a stretcher after landing on his head from the suplex and was sent backstage. While being carried away, he put up his thumb to indicate that he was okay.
Later in the night, the New Day member provided an update on his injury and said that although he was in good spirits and could move his fingers, doctors told him that he suffered a broken neck.
This is what he had to say:
"I can't thank all of you beautiful people enough for all of your concern, your messages, it's very heartwarming. I can move all my digits, you see that, that's nice, that's always a good thing. Strength feels fine but unfortunately, right now, they tell me my neck is broken so that's that."
It is always sad to see a wrestler being stretchered out during a show. E is one of the most beloved superstars in WWE, and well wishes have been pouring in for him since the unfortunate news broke.
We at Sportskeeda would like to wish Big E a speedy recovery.
