AEW warns Full Gear match could determine promotion's future
AEW recently issued a massive warning regarding the promotion's future. The company's next show, Full Gear, is a couple of weeks away. While many matches are yet to be announced, the stage for the AEW World Championship is set. Jon Moxley will defend the title against Orange Cassidy.
The reigning AEW World Champion has been trying to ignite a fire under the promotion's locker room. He has been attacking and assaulting stars who haven't been involved in AEW's progress. The faction already took out Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream after hurting his neck. Jon Moxley set his eyes on Orange Cassidy next.
The Freshly Squeezed Star didn't want to get involved in the Lunatic Fringe's story despite many stars requesting him to lead the babyface stars. However, after the group attacked an already retired Chuck Taylor, he vowed revenge. The former International Champion then challenged him for the world title, and the duo will face off at the Full Gear pay-per-view.
The Tony Khan-led promotion tweeted that the winner of the bout would highly influence the company's future, as Jon Moxley has been on a warpath against the entire roster.
"#AEW World Champion @JonMoxley faces @orangecassidy with not only the title on the line but the future of AEW hinging on the outcome! #AEWFullGear Saturday, Nov. 23, LIVE on PPV, @prucenter | Newark, NJ," the promotion warned.
Orange Cassidy to face two members from Jon Moxley's faction ahead of Full Gear
After last week's intense face-off on Dynamite, Cassidy and other stars attacked the heel faction. Darby Allin also made his much-awaited return to even the odds.
Later, the company announced that Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin would compete against Claudio Castagnoli and PAC on this week's Dynamite.
It remains to be seen if Orange Cassidy picks up some momentum ahead of Full Gear.
