AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland breaks silence after probable heel turn on Dynamite

Reigning AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland shared a cryptic message on social media after seemingly turning heel on last night's episode of Dynamite. Last night, Swerve Strickland locked horns with Wheeler Yuta.

Swerve snapped during the match as he nailed three consecutive House Calls before stomping on Yuta's face, forcing the referee to disqualify the reigning champion. Bryan Danielson, who was sitting in the front row, came to the rescue of his friend, Yuta.

Swerve then grabbed the microphone and said that he would brutalize Bryan in front of the latter's daughter at All In 2024 and then cripple and retire The American Dragon. The 33-year-old also nailed a House Call on Danielson to end the show.

Later, Swerve Strickland took to his X (Twitter) account to share a cryptic message after his actions on Dynamite this week.

"I love what I do," he wrote.

Bryan Danielson responds to Swerve Strickland mentioning his daughter

Following the events on Wednesday Night Dynamite, Bryan Danielson lashed out at his All In 2024 opponent in an exclusive backstage promo.

The former WWE Champion warned Strickland that the latter wouldn't get the underdog version of Bryan Danielson at Wembley Stadium. The veteran added that the reigning champion would get a version of The American Dragon that ''kicks people's heads in.''

"As if all of that were not enough that you mentioned my daughter, and you mentioned crippling me in front of my daughter. Guess what, Swerve? You're not gonna get the underdog Bryan Danielson, you're getting the Bryan Danielson who's gonna fight from behind. You're gonna get the Danielson that goes out there and kicks people's heads in; that's what you've got coming at Wembley Stadium," he said.

Strickland and Danielson will lock horns in a Title vs. Career Match at All In 2024. It will be interesting to see if Bryan captures the AEW World Title at Wembley later this month.
