After a series of setbacks, Tony Khan's AEW issues an official statement to confirm some very positive news

AEW has faced some setbacks recently, but the Tony Khan-led promotion has finally announced a piece of important news regarding its media deal. The company is also set to hold its Worlds End pay-per-view on December 28.

Tony Khan and AEW pay close attention to their UK fanbase, as seen during the successful back-to-back All In pay-per-views in 2023 and 2024 in London, England. The promotion also airs its wrestling shows on ITV, bringing free-to-air wrestling to United Kingdom fans.

The company has officially extended its broadcast deal with ITV for another year, which will continue to bring AEW Dynamite and Collision weekly on ITV4 and ITVX for viewers in the UK. All Elite Wrestling shows have been airing on ITV for the past five years.

You can view All Elite Wrestling's press release about the contract extension with ITV below.

"AEW [All Elite Wrestling] and ITV have agreed to an extension of their existing UK rights deal. ITV will continue to show weekly episodes of AEW programming, with AEW Dynamite every Friday night and AEW Collision every Wednesday night on ITV4 and ITVX. The renewal for 2025 takes ITV into its sixth year as AEW’s free-to-air UK partner, first broadcasting AEW Dynamite in 2019. "We are thrilled to extend AEW's partnership with ITV to continue bringing the best wrestling action to fans all across the United Kingdom," said AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan.

ITV's Richard Botchway also issued a statement regarding the deal:

"We thank all of our incredible fans in the UK as well as everyone at ITV for their loyal support of AEW since our inception." Richard Botchway, Commissioning Editor at ITV, said: “We are proud to continue to be the UK free-to-air broadcast partner for AEW. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship into 2025, bringing the UK audience every minute of action across ITV and ITVX.”

Tony Khan has also struck a deal to bring AEW to Max in 2025

Earlier this year, All Elite Wrestling and Tony Khan announced a new multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery. Per reports, the agreement is supposed to be 185 million dollars per year.

The deal will bring AEW's huge library to Max, including all the pay-per-view events and two months of the recent programming of All Elite Wrestling. The content will be available on the streaming service from January 2025, similar to WWE, which will be moving to Netflix in January.

Fans will have to wait and see whether the move to Max brings any changes to the Tony Khan-led promotion's product in 2025.
