After The Rock, another former WWE Champion could surprisingly join the TKO Board, says legend

WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has speculated that another former World Champion may join the TKO Board of Directors after The Rock. The name being discussed is none other than John Cena.

At this past weekend's Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, the 16-time WWE World Champion announced that he will be retiring from professional wrestling in 2025. However, Cena confirmed that he will contribute to the company in a non-wrestling capacity after hanging up his boots.

In a recent chat with Denise Salcedo, Mark Henry discussed the possibility of John Cena following in the footsteps of The Rock and joining the TKO Board after his retirement. For those unaware, The Great One became a member of the organization's board earlier this year.

"You know what, I could see it. But I think that it would have to be a situation where he felt like he actually had say so. Because at that level, you don't want to go in and be told what to do. You want to be able to go in and contribute and say, 'Look what I did. I added this.' And I feel like I'm able to do that. It's just that a lot of times people listen and people don't listen, and I think if John Cena went home, went to WWE, the TKO Board, where it would be a bonus to have him in the office." In the same interview with Denise Salcedo, Mark Henry said he was happy for John Cena and proud of his accomplishments in pro wrestling.

"I'm happy for him. Now he can get out his own way. The expectations from the company, from the fans of continuing to be in the ring are over with. There's no pressure. I'm just proud that he's gonna be able to be referred and respected as somebody that's been there done that, and when people bring him in, they know it's to be on the panel and not to be in the ring." John Cena will compete in his last WrestleMania next year in Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see which star will face him at The Show of Shows.
