Anna Jay issues an audacious statement after unfortunate AEW setback

Anna Jay suffered an unfortunate setback this week on AEW Collision. She has now released a statement regarding it on social media.

Anna Jay was considered a future star in the women's division. Despite all the hype surrounding her, Anna's career hasn't panned out as she had hoped due to injuries. Several years into her run in All Elite Wrestling, the 26-year-old is still searching for her first title. However, Jay had the chance to rectify this wrong this week on Collision when she faced Mariah May for the AEW Women's World Championship.

However, after a hard-fought and brutal match, Jay came up short. With this loss, she will never be able to challenge for the title as long as May is the champion. Following the setback, the former Dark Order member took to social media to send a confident message to the fans.

"One day I will be the AEW women’s world champion. But for now I’ll be content with the fact that Mariah May is somewhere sore, and hurting right now. The journey continues."

Anna Jay recently refused the help of The Vendetta

The Vendetta is a team consisting of Deonna Purrazzo and Taya Valkyrie. Both women have hinted that they are open to adding more members.

This week on AEW Rampage, Taya Valkyrie interrupted Anna Jay's backstage interview with Lexy Nair and offered to help Jay with her No-Disqualification match against Mariah May. Since Mina Shirakawa, a long-time friend of May, could get involved in the bout, Valkyrie offered the services of The Vendetta in exchange for some cash.

However, Anna turned her down, saying she could handle her business and didn't need any help.

It will be interesting to see whether Jay will be able to win her first title in AEW soon.
