Backstage note on Britt Baker suffering a mini-stroke - Reports
Britt Baker recently returned to action at the Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View. On this week's edition of Dynamite, she addressed her nine-and-a-half-month-long hiatus.
On the July 3 edition of Dynamite titled Beach Break, the 33-year-old wrestler made an appearance inside the ring and opened up about being sidelined due to multiple injuries. She also disclosed that she suffered a transient ischemic attack (a mini-stroke) in November last year.
PWInsider recently released a new report stating that Baker legitimately suffered a mini-stroke and her story was not made up for an angle on TV.
Bully Ray says Britt Baker should capitalize on her babyface momentum
When Baker returned at the Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View on Sunday she received a huge pop from the crowd. This sort of turned her into a babyface. Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray suggested that AEW should book D.M.D as a babyface in the promotion going forward.
"We heard the ovation last night. Britt Baker is a babyface as of right this very second. She is a babyface; she should be used like a babyface; she should be given verbiage as a babyface; she should be doing babyface stuff."
He added:
"If I was Britt Baker, the very first promo I cut in an AEW ring with this return, if she's face to face with Mercedes, I would have Britt Baker tell Mercedes, 'You know what, Mercedes? Hold on. I'm gonna go hang out with the people that actually mean something to me in this place.' I would have Britt jump the guardrail and go cut her promo in the middle of the people."
This edition of Busted Open was recorded before Dynamite which means Bully had predicted all this. Surprisingly, this is what happened at the show this week.
The CEO interrupted Baker and the two confronted each other. The former AEW Women's Champion then laid out a challenge to Mone for a match at All In.
