Big update on Ricky Starks' AEW status - ReportsĀ

A recent report has shed light on Ricky Starks' AEW status amid his unexplained and long absence from the promotion. As per the rumor mill, the former FTW Champion could finally be gearing up for his much-anticipated return.

While Starks remains one of All Elite Wrestling's best homegrown talents, his absence in the last few months has left the viewers puzzled. He even confirmed recently that he was cleared for action and waiting to be called back. Amid this, many fans also have clamored for Ricky Starks to join WWE, where his close friend and former AEW star Cody Rhodes is a major force to be reckoned with.

However, it looks like fans could soon see Starks back on All Elite Wrestling programming. Xero News recently shared a tweet, where they reported about the 34-year-old performer's imminent return to the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Tony Khan recently addressed Ricky Starks' AEW absence

A few days back, in an interview, All Elite Wrestling's head honcho finally opened up about the former FTW Champion's absence from the Jacksonville-based company.

While Tony Khan didn't give any reasons for Ricky Starks being away, he mentioned that he was a fan of the latter's work and couldn't wait to see him get back into the scheme of things.

"I really, really like Ricky Starks a lot; the last time we saw him here was in the World Tag Team Championship Tournament. He and Big Bill formed a great team, and they were the World Tag Team Champions! I think Ricky Starks is tremendous! I'd love to get him involved and back in AEW anytime. He's been a huge part of what we've done here for about four out of five years, and tons of respect for Rico!" said Khan.

Considering just how much he's missed by the wrestling world, it's safe to say Ricky Starks would receive a rousing welcome whenever he does return to AEW.
