Blackpool Combat Club member seemingly gets a new nickname ahead of AEW Dynamite
A Blackpool Combat Club member has seemingly adopted a new nickname ahead of this week's Wednesday Night Dynamite. This week's edition of AEW's flagship show will emanate from SNHU Arena, Manchester, later tonight. The Blackpool Combat Club was initially formed in 2022. Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, and William Regal are the founding members of the faction.
However, the group's dynamics changed when The Deathrider turned on The American Dragon and attacked the latter with a plastic bag at All Out 2024 in September. Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and PAC chose to side with The Purveyor of Violence.
Meanwhile, Marina Shafir, who has been alongside Moxley since his return from a brief hiatus earlier this year, recently shared a picture of her group featuring herself, leader Jon Moxley, and Yuta on X. She captioned the photo "The Keeper," seemingly pointing to her new nickname.
''The keeper, #TheProblem, #Theonetrueking!'' she wrote.
Tommy Dreamer comments on who could stop the Blackpool Combat Club
The Blackpool Combat Club has been unstoppable ever since Jon Moxley won the AEW World Championship. Speaking on Busted Open After Dark, Tommy Dreamer said that The Hurt Syndicate could stop the BCC if Bobby Lashley and Co. turned babyface.
"If you can imagine [BCC vs. The Hurt Syndicate], which they probably would be if The Hurt Syndicate became babyfaces. They are physical, dominant forces; who can stop them? When you have a business decision and a business group like this—and I call them that because it was The Hurt Business and now they're going with The Hurt Syndicate—they have the titles of what they want to do: hurt!" he said.
The Hurt Syndicate consists of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. Lashley arrived in AEW last week, while MVP and The Gold Standard joined the promotion in September and October, respectively.
