Bobby Lashley and MVP reforming The Hurt Business with a massive twist would be cool, says veteranĀ (Exclusive)
WWE veteran Vince Russo believes The Hurt Business reuniting on the independent scene could be a great move. The faction consisted of MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander.
According to recent reports, MVP and Bobby Lashley's WWE contracts are set to expire soon and the two were not approached about a renewal. MVP has been pretty vocal about his underwhelming booking ever since Triple H took over WWE's creative whereas Bobby Lashley has stayed quiet on the matter.
In an exclusive chat with Dr. Chris on Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, former WWE head writer Vince Russo stated that he would love to see The Hurt Business reunite on the independent circuit and jump to multiple promotions like TNA and NWA. The veteran further clarified that he has no interest in the group going to AEW as they would get forgotten in a couple of weeks.
"You know bro, if we really are talking about Independent contractors, I would love to see them involved with every major promotion. I would love to see them on TNA, I would love to see them on NWA, I'd love to see them everywhere. That would be cool. Things like that never happen anymore you know what I mean bro. I would love to see something out of the norm happen rather than Chris like you said bro, they go to AEW and literally in four weeks, they're other names on the roster." [From 04:13 to 04:52]

Booker T believes The Hurt Business could end up in AEW
The question about The Hurt Business' possible reunion in other promotions has been a hot topic among wrestling fans and veterans. WWE legend Booker T also shared his thoughts on the matter on his Hall of Fame podcast.
The NXT commentator stated that the faction could come to AEW due to money but would be showcased more if they head to TNA.
"Of course, they could end up in AEW and of course, they would probably make a whole lot more money," said Booker. "If done right in TNA the money would still be there for them because they could go out and do other projects ... I think it's a win-win situation over there." [H/T: WrestlingInc]
AEW CEO Tony Khan could offer lucrative contracts to MVP, Bobby Lashley and even Shelton Benjamin, who is a free agent being released from the WWE in 2023. It will be interesting to see how a potential reunion of The Hurt Business shapes up in the upcoming months.
