Bobby Lashley reunites with former WWE rival on AEW Dynamite
Tonight was Bobby Lashley's first night in AEW since signing with them and he has found himself in an interesting reunion with a former WWE rival. This would be Ricochet.
The high-flyer found himself caught in a feud with The Hurt Business back in 2020. MVP offered him, Mustafa Ali, and Apollo Crews a spot in their group but eventually, the trio turned him down. Cedric Alexander became the man to take up on the opportunity, as he turned on his friends to join The Hurt Business.
The former NXT North American Champion and The All-Mighty have also crossed paths in the ring multiple times before that, as they had feuded for the United States Championship.
Tonight on Dynamite, Ricochet was in a backstage interview as he addressed his tag team match with a mystery partner against the Don Callis Family. He was then interrupted by The Hurt Syndicate.
The group had previously approached him with MVP handing him a business card, but this was the first meeting between him and Bobby Lashley since their time in WWE.
They did not say match as they apparently just wanted to wish him good luck for his match later in the night. This may be a hint at them reminding him of their pending offer, and show that they have Bobby Lashley in their ranks now.
