Bobby Lashley's AEW debut and ex-WWE stars' first-ever match seemingly balances Dynamite's momentum in ratingsĀ
AEW Dynamite ratings seemingly balanced momentum from the previous week after Bobby Lashley made his debut. Last night's flagship show was stacked with huge matches with several former WWE Superstars going against each other.
In a special Fright Night Dynamite, Adam Cole defeated Buddy Matthews in a storied contest. Also, Kris Statlander went one step closer to a shot at Mercedes Mone's TBS Championship after defeating Kamille. Private Party finally won the AEW World Tag Team Championships from The Young Bucks, who will be working from home due to chaos happening in AEW.
In the night's main event, former WWE star Swerve Strickland emerged victorious against Shelton Benjamin in a top-notch bout. Following the match, The All Mighty Bobby Lashley made his debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Lashley then went on to attack the former AEW World Champion. Also, the entire episode featured attacks by Jon Moxley and his faction.
As per Wrestlenomics, Dynamite drew 628,000 average viewership and was rated 0.19 among the 18-49 demographics. This is slightly lower than the previous week as it garnered a 637,000 total audience and drew the same demographics as this week.
As things are getting heated ahead of Full Gear pay-per-view, it will be interesting to see if new rivalries draw more eyes to AEW Dynamite.
