Bobby Lashley's former partner teases joining The Hurt Syndicate; calls out top AEW star
A former ally of two-time WWE World Champion Bobby Lashley has dropped a major tease about joining The Hurt Syndicate. The star got the offer to join the group weeks ago.
The star in question is former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush. Last month, Rush revealed that he received an offer from MVP to join The Hurt Syndicate. MVP gave the upstart the faction's business card. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see whether Rush would reunite with Bobby Lashley by joining him in his AEW stable.
Lio Rush teased joining The Hurt Syndicate through a backstage promo on the latest episode of Collision. He mentioned MVP and Shelton Benjamin while referring to Lashley as his man and recalling their partnership in WWE. Rush also revealed that he still had the business card MVP gave him.
Lio Rush called out former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland for a match on Dynamite next Wednesday. Interestingly, The Hurt Syndicate has been feuding with Strickland since its formation in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
It remains to be seen whether Swerve Strickland accepts Lio Rush's challenge. Will Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate influence the potential match's outcome? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
