Booker T claims former WWE World Champion could be lobbying for a move to AEW

The Hall of Famer Booker T made a claim regarding a former WWE World Champion saying he is headed to AEW. The star was recently released from the Stamford-based promotion.

The former WWE Champion in question is none other than Jinder Mahal. The Modern Day Maharaja surprisingly got released from the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year in April. Mahal spent more than a decade of his career in the biggest wrestling promotion. He also won the World Title in 2017.

Meanwhile, Jinder Mahal is officially a free agent now after his no-compete clause has ended. WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T feels that Jinder is seemingly trying to make his way to AEW after he said some kind words about Tony Khan. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast recently, Booker said:

"I see Jinder lobbying man, trying to you know perhaps move towards being All Elite. He made some kind comments towards Tony Khan, that's a start, that's a start, that's where you want to start, right? As well as, of course, Jinder Mahal can go anywhere in the world and work." WWE Hall of Famer on where Jinder Mahal would love to work

The WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T also reflected on the possibility of Jinder Mahal working in Japan, Germany, or Mexico after his release. However, Booker thinks Jinder would love to stay and work in the United States:

"I always talk about people going to Japan, going to Germany and whatnot, Mexico, but ain't nothing like working right here in the States. So if Jinder can get a job here in the States and be able to stay close to home, I'm sure he would love that a whole lot more than having to get out there on that grind." [From 11:21 to 11:40]

Henceforth, only time will tell what the future has in store for The Modern Day Maharaja, as he is now a free agent.
