Booker T compares AEW personality to Paul Heyman - "I'm glad to see him there"

Booker T has given his honest thoughts a top AEW personality. This individual recently joined Tony Khan's promotion.

MVP's second run in WWE got off to a good start when he formed The Hurt Business along with Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander. The group dominated Monday Night RAW for a while, however, once they disbanded, MVP's career took a massive downturn.

He managed Omos but the latter has not been used in quite some time, and the former United States Champion left the promotion earlier this year. However, his role in the company cannot be understated. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T highlighted the good work MVP put in during the pandemic era and even compared him to Paul Heyman:

"During the [COVID-19] pandemic, [MVP] was one of them MVPs," Booker said. "I'm serious. He did some hell of a work during that time as well as with Bobby Lashley in the Hurt Business. He did some really, really good work. So for me, to have someone like MVP to be able to carry that mantel, because he does it and he does it well, for that reason and that reason only, like a Paul Heyman." [H/T WrestlingInc.]

Booker T is glad MVP is in AEW

After MVP left WWE, there was a lot of speculation about his future. He answered those questions by making a surprise appearance during AEW Dynamite Grand Slam to confront Prince Nana and even offer his services to Swerve Strickland.

During the same podcast episode, Booker T commented on MVP's debut and mentioned that he was glad to see him in Tony Khan's promotion:

"We have very few guys who can step into that position and can actually go out there and make somebody look good and they don't even have to get in the ring to actually do it," Booker continued. "That's MVP, so give that guy his shine as far as being that guy to be able to go out there and get that done with these young guys. So for me, I'm glad to see him there, have a soft landing in AEW." It will be interesting to see if MVP will be able to start his own faction in AEW similar to The Hurt Business.
