Booker T thinks misused AEW star would fit perfectly in WWE

Booker T feels that a misused AEW star would be perfect in WWE. This is one thing that fans from both sides could see come to fruition soon.

The star in question is none other than Ricky Starks. Starks was once seen as a big star in the making in AEW but has seemingly gone off the boil over the last few months. Ever since he and Big Bill lost their tag team titles to Sting and Darby Allin, Starks is nowhere to be seen on AEW TV.

There have been some reports that he could be moving to the Stamford-based promotion soon. Booker T has now remarked that Ricky Starks would be a good fit in WWE.

He was speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast when he said:

“I think he fits in perfectly. I mean, I really do. I think he’s got that look, he’s got the swagger. His name has gotten there before he did, so that right there said a whole lot about Ricky Starks. The guy believes in himself. That’s one thing I could say, almost like about Ethan Page. Ricky Starks — this kid. He has something, I don’t know what it is. People are always comparing him to The Rock. Me personally, I don’t see that. I don’t see that. But his promo style, his dress perhaps, maybe look, I don’t know. But people do compare him a lot to The Rock.” [H/T - Ewrestling News]

Tony Khan speaks out on Ricky Starks’ AEW absence

Ricky Starks has not been seen in AEW for a while now and that has had fans wondering when he would be making a comeback.

Tony Khan was asked the same thing and he had an encouraging answer. He was speaking on SHAK Wrestling when he commented that he did like Starks a lot and would love for him to get back to AEW.

"I really, really like Ricky Starks a lot; the last time we saw him here was in the World Tag Team Championship Tournament. He and Big Bill formed a great team, and they were the World Tag Team Champions! I think Ricky Starks is tremendous! I'd love to get him involved and back in AEW anytime. He's been a huge part of what we've done here for about four out of five years, and tons of respect for Rico!"

It is great to see the AEW President still hold Starks in high regard. That should give him some encouragement that he still might have a future in the company.
