Booker T urges Tony Khan to make a much-needed addition to the AEW Women's division
When AEW was established in 2019, the company introduced three titles: the World Championship, the World Tag Team Championship, and the Women's World Championship.
Eventually, they kept adding more accolades and now apart from the titles mentioned above The Jacksonville-based promotion has the TNT Championship, the International Championship, the Continental Championship, the FTW Championship, the World Trios Championship, and the TBS Championship. Several fans and individuals associated with pro wrestling have argued that introducing so many titles in such a short span is overkill and it feels like a desperate move from the viewers' perspective.
Interestingly, former WWE Superstar Booker T likes having a lot of titles in a wrestling promotion. In a recent appearance on his Hall of Fame podcast, the 59-year-old stated that having many titles in a company adds variety to the product. Additionally, he stated that just like the men's division, the AEW women's division needed more championships.
"I like having a lot of titles... There should be the Heavyweight Championship, the Television Champ, and then there is going to be one more of course. The ladies have been lacking as far as having one separate belt that gives people the feeling that they are getting ready to put the rocket put on them," said Booker T. [From 15:40 to 16:23]

For the time being, the Tony Khan-led company has only two women's titles: the Women's World Championship, held by "Timeless" Toni Storm, and the TBS Championship, held by Mercedes Moné.
Booker T believes that buying ROH has not helped AEW at all
In the podcast mentioned above, the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion revealed that he hardly watches the Jacksonville promotions product. Furthermore, he stated that Tony Khan's buying ROH has not added any value to his company.
"I don't know, I'm not a big watcher of AEW. I can confess to that. But could be wrong but it doesn't have the same buzz that they had when the product first came on scene. Especially now since the intertwining of ROH. It doesn't seem like ROH has helped that company at all," said Booker T.
Tony Khan purchased ROH in March 2022. The company now operates as AEW's sister promotion.
