BREAKING: Jack Perry shows up at major event, rips AEW contract
For the first time since the infamous situation that occurred during AEW All In 2023, Jack Perry has just made an appearance. This would be the first time that he has been seen in almost five months.
Perry was part of a backstage altercation with CM Punk, which resulted in the latter being released and eventually going to WWE, with Perry himself receiving an indefinite suspension from AEW.
A few months ago, it was reported that the former FTW Champion was no longer under suspension, but the promotion had yet to determine how to book him moving forward.
Just moments earlier, Jack Perry appeared in NJPW's Battle in the Valley event in San Jose Civic in California. He pretended to be a fan at ringside and attacked Shota Umino. After leaving him down in the center of the ring, he brought out his AEW contract for all to see and ripped it.
He then put on a wristband with the word "scapegoat," possibly a nod to the entire fiasco that went down at All In.
It remains to be seen whether this was all a work or this could be Perry rebelling against AEW and potentially jumping ship.
