Britt Baker pulls off heroic feat amid AEW absence, helps longtime fan who almost lost everything

AEW fans continue to patiently await the return of Britt Baker. The former champion has been on this hiatus for two months, with no confirmation on rumors and speculation surrounding her future. Baker is now going viral for a deed she just pulled off to help a longtime fan during a personal tragedy.

Baker has not wrestled since defeating Penelope Ford on November 13 during Dynamite, which marked her return after multiple brief comebacks earlier in the year. Baker's fourth career singles match with Ford and her fourth win over Penelope was also just her fifth in-ring outing of 2024. She has been in the Atlanta area filming undisclosed projects since November.

Wrestling fans often form close bonds with some talents, while others become online personalities or friends with fellow spectators due to their presence at events. One such fan named Chris took to Instagram to reveal how Baker sent him a package after seeing how he lost almost everything in a house fire.

"Role model isn't just a moniker for @realbrittbaker but an accurate description after she saw that I had lost almost everything in a house fire she had all of her shirts that I had lost sent to me. I was already a fan for life but she continues to give me even more reasons to be one," Chris wrote in the screenshot below.

Baker shared the post to Instagram Stories, confirming the message from her diehard fan. She then gave him a nod as a passionate fan and kind human.

"[heart hands emoji] If you've ever had the chance to meet Chris at a wrestling event, you know he's one of the most passionate fans and kindest souls on the planet," Britt Baker wrote in the screenshot below.

Baker has not confirmed when she will return to action in AEW. The 2022 Women's Owen Hart Cup winner has been with the company since it launched, signing in January 2019 as the first contracted female wrestler.
