Britt Baker reacts after AEW officially announces her return

Britt Baker will return to action next week after a short hiatus. Her return was announced in last week's edition of Saturday Night Collision.

The last time fans saw D.M.D in action was at the 2024 All In event at Wembley Stadium in London, England. She faced 'The CEO' Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship in a losing effort. Following the event, she was absent from TV.

Last week, in the Collision episode, Tony Khan's promotion released a teaser video hinting at Britt Baker returning to TV on next week's Dynamite episode. The 10/02 edition of AEW's Flagship show will be special, marking Dynamite's 5th Anniversary.

The former AEW Women's World Champion reacted to her return news by sharing the teaser video released by All Elite Wrestling on her official X (Twitter) profile. Check out her reaction post below.

Serena Deeb challenged Britt Baker to a match upon her AEW return

When Britt Baker's return was announced, it wasn't made public who she would be facing on Wednesday night next week. Serena Deeb recently called her out and challenged her to a singles match on Dynamite's 5th Anniversary show on October 2.

Baker and Deeb have never set foot inside the ring against each other. However, they have worked together in a couple of matches as tag team partners. They have partnered twice against the team of Athena and Toni Storm.

Their first tag team match took place on the September 14 2022 edition of Dynamite where they beat their opponents, and their second tag team match was on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2022 where they suffered a defeat.

Deeb is a former WWE star and worked under the promotion from 2009 to 2013 and 2017 to 2020. She joined Tony Khan's roster in September 2020. Since then, she has been a regular on AEW TV.
