Britt Baker seemingly responds to her backstage AEW rumors causing sudden suspension

Britt Baker has seemingly responded to rumors surrounding her recent backstage issues with her peers in AEW. According to reports, the conflict led to the 33-year-old star's suspension.

Baker has become a center of controversy after reports emerged regarding her backstage confrontation with Maxwell Jacob Friedman and his partner Alicia Atout, as well as regarding her subsequent suspension. Baker was also the subject of certain rumors that have since been discredited, including one that claimed that she had refused creative direction from AEW figure Will Washington, which had supposedly led to the latter filing an HR report against her.

Baker is currently feuding with Mercedes Mone and is set to challenge the latter for her TBS Championship at AEW All In 2024 - a match that is expected to take place despite the recent controversy. Days ahead of the upcoming episode of Dynamite, the former AEW Women's World Champion shared a post in her Instagram story, seemingly alluding to her backstage conflict with MJF and to other rumors pertaining to her, like the one involving Will Washington, which may be lacking in credibility. The text from the post reads:

"You ever heard a rumour about yourself and actually wanted to hear more (...) Like no way..... what did I do next?!"

Sam Roberts commented on the Britt Baker-MJF confrontation in AEW

Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts shared his two cents on the reported backstage confrontation between MJF and Britt Baker.

Speaking on a recent edition of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Roberts pointed out that such unrest and hostilities in the All Elite locker room may prove detrimental to the promotion and its business.

"It doesn't make me happy when I read stories like 'oh, you know two of the talent at AEW got into a backstage squabble and one of them got suspended' and it's like all that stuff is not good for business. It's not good for the business of [All Elite Wrestling]. It's not good for the business of professional wrestling."

MJF is scheduled to face Kyle Fletcher in an Eliminator Match for his American Championship on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. It remains to be seen whether Britt Baker will go face-to-face with Mercedes Mone ahead of their All In bout on the same edition of the Wednesday-night show.
