Brock Lesnar was afraid of hurting 4-time WWE Champion in their match due to thinking he was "fragile"

Former world champion Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of the most dominant wrestlers ever. Throughout his time in the WWE, he won the WWE Championship seven times and the WWE Universal Championship three times.

At Survivor Series 2018, The Beast locked horns with Daniel Bryan in a Champion vs. Champion match. The showdown lasted for almost 19 minutes and long-term fans of wrestling consider it a modern-day classic. Although Bryan, (now known as Bryan Danielson) gave Lesnar tough competition, the latter triumphed convincingly.

In a recent conversation with talkSPORT, Danielson candidly spoke about the above-mentioned match. He revealed that Brock Lesnar was "afraid" of hurting him. The Beast thought that his opponent was fragile, however, the AEW star managed to convince him to be rough. In the end, Lesnar complied with the four-time WWE Champion's request.

"He was afraid of hurting me. That day when he came in, he thought of me as fragile and somebody he doesn't want to hurt and I told him. 'Don't treat me like that. I'm not that. You can do whatever you want, the same thing to me like you would do to anybody else. And then he did [laughs]," said Bryan Danielson. [24:14 to 25:20]

Triple H commented if Brock Lesnar would make his WWE return

Earlier this year Brock Lesnar found himself in controversy after being seemingly alluded to in the Janel Grant lawsuit. Alongside him, the names of Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis also appeared in this issue.

Many believe that his time in WWE is over, however, current Chief Content Officer Triple H, hinted that he might return in the future.

"Brock is home being Brock and we’ll see where that leads to, you know… from here. But the status is the same as before. Brock is not gone from WWE… um, he’s just home being Brock." [H/T Fandom Wire]

Lesnar's last match was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.
