Brody King shares honest thoughts on Shane McMahon's potential AEW arrival - "I live for the unexpected" (Exclusive)
Former AEW World Trios Champion Brody King recently shared his thoughts on Shane McMahon potentially joining the Jacksonville-based promotion. Shane is the son of former WWE CEO, Vince McMahon.
The rumors about Shane O'Mac signing with AEW began a couple of months ago. A photograph of Shane McMahon's meeting with All Elite CEO Tony Khan was leaked on social media which led to the speculation that the Prodigal Son might be planning his next move in professional wrestling. McMahon was also seen hanging out with The EVPs of AEW, Nicholas & Matthew Jackson (The Young Bucks) as seen in their recent Instagram post.
In an exclusive chat with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter, Brody King was asked about the impact of Shane McMahon's potential AEW debut. The House of Black member said the moment would be chaotic and get a lot of eyes on the All Elite product.
"I don't know, chaos? I feel like the whole internet community would blow up and fire that day. But, you know that's what I kind of live for. I live for the unexpected and the unpredictable so I don't know whether it would be good or bad, it will definitely get people talking and you know Shane [McMahon] has always been someone that's kind of gone by the beat of his own drum."
Brody further claimed that Shane never had to do the high-risk maneuvers but he did so for his love and passion for professional wrestling.
"He never had to be the wrestler he was. He never had to be a wrestler at all and he did. You can tell he definitely has a passion for pro wrestling because if you're gonna be the son of a rich guy but to do the death-defying things that he did as a pro wrestler and getting in the ring with other pro wrestlers, that speaks a whole other volume to him as a character and a person." Shane McMahon last wrestled at WWE WrestleMania 39
Shane O'Mac departed from WWE after Royal Rumble 2022. However, he made his shocking return to the promotion at WrestleMania 39 where he was revealed as The Miz's mystery opponent by Snoop Dogg.
Shortly after the match started, Shane McMahon unfortunately tore his quad which led to the veteran getting stretchered out of the arena. McMahon has not been seen since in WWE.
We will have to wait and see if the rumors of Shane McMahon's AEW arrival turn out to be true in the future.
