Bryan Danielson breaks silence on Shane McMahon's possible AEW arrival after recent meeting with Tony Khan
Former WWE Champion Bryan Danielson has finally broken his silence on Shane McMahon’s possible AEW arrival. Tony Khan and The Prodigal Son had a private meeting last week. Later, a picture from their meeting went viral on social media.
Danielson and Shane have worked closely with each other in the past, as they used to run SmackDown in 2018. With rumors of the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion possibly becoming All Elite circling, Bryan was asked if he was open to working with Shane.
During an interaction with Gorilla Position, the current AEW star said that he was open to ''working with anybody.''
"I'm open to working with anybody. I don't have beef with anybody. 100%,'' Bryan Danielson said. [H/T: Fightful]
Bryan Danielson reveals if Tony Khan spoke to him about Shane McMahon
During the same conversation, The American Dragon was asked if he was aware of the meeting between Tony Khan and Shane McMahon. The veteran wrestler claimed that he didn't know about the potential meeting.
He also revealed that Khan informed him about the same following the latter's interaction with The Prodigal Son.
"One, if I knew, I would not tell you. Two, I don't know [laughs]. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, 'I didn't want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon!' I didn't say this, but I was like, 'Yeah, I know. The picture is everywhere!' To be fair, I'm not aware of a lot of things because I don't go on Twitter or social media," Bryan said. [H/T: Fightful]
Meanwhile, Bryan Danielson is set to challenge Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at the upcoming All In PPV. It will be interesting to see if the former WWE World Champion claims the Jacksonville-based promotion's top prize at Wembley Stadium later this month.
