Bryan Danielson mentions WWE in massive surprise after Dynamite 5th Anniversary show goes off the air

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson looked back at his WWE run in his promo after the fifth-anniversary episode of Dynamite went off the air. He also explained why he chose to come to All Elite Wrestling.

On Dynamite's fifth-anniversary episode this week, Bryan Danielson was slated to defend his AEW World Championship against Kazuchika Okada in the main event. The match had a rare stipulation that Okada's Continental Title would be on the line for the first 20 minutes in the match.

After some hard-hitting action, Danielson secured the win with a roll-up pin and retained his title. After Dynamite went off the air, Tony Khan thanked the crowd before putting over The American Dragon. Bryan thanked the crowd in Pittsburgh, recalling his time in the WWE, and explained why he came to AEW.

"I don't know if you guys remember, but you were the crowd that made me into a WrestleMania main-eventer. So, I just wanted to say thank you, Pittsburgh. Last but certainly not least, I wanted to thank all the men and the women in the back. Because they're the ones who made this place so great that I had a lifetime job at WWE, and I chose, I chose to come here because there were the best wrestlers in the world, the best fans in the world, and this is the best wrestling company in the world," he said. Bryan Danielson was confronted by Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club

After Bryan Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada in the main event, he was greeted by Claudio Castagnoli and PAC. Jon Moxley also confronted Bryan before their AEW World Title match next weekend at WrestleDream.

Thankfully, Wheeler Yuta showed up to save the day, as Yuta and Bryan ultimately had the upper hand.

Before WrestleDream, Danielson is set to team up with Wheeler Yuta for a tag match against Claudio and PAC next week on Dynamite. What transpires next Wednesday ahead of WrestleDream remains to be seen.
